Whistler Writers Festival 2019

What is the Whistler Writers Festival?

The Whistler Writers Festival is an annual event put on by the Whistler Writing Society.

Started in 2001, the Whistler Writing Society has focused on providing a forum for local writers to develop their craft within the community, as well as promoting and sponsoring the literary arts and events, including the Whistler Writers Festival.

Now entering its 18th annual celebration, The Whistler Writers Festival provides attendees with an intimate setting to learn and develop their craft through discussion and thoughtful debate.

Perfect for all ages, the festival features activities and events for kids, youths, and adults. Most events at the four-day festival have been developed to encourage conversation in a healthy and thoughtful environment. You have the opportunity to meet and talk with authors, attend masterclass workshops, pitch book ideas to professionals, and much more during the festival.

Continuing on with these ideals, this year the theme of the festival is ‘Discourse’.
